Happy President's Day! We learned so much about Presidents and American Symbols this week. We began our week adding our schema to our circle map. We then added information throughout the week as we read nonfiction texts. We were so proud of ourselves for doing 'first grade level work' and using words from our circle map to create sentences all on our own. WOW!

We created bubble maps about George Washington and loved using cotton balls to finish our Washington projects. So cute!

In math we wrapped up our unit on missing addends. We are all set to begin subtraction next week! We loved using our 5 senses in narrative writing this week. I missed grabbing a picture, but one of my kinders wrote about the sounds of the engine on the airplane he was on and the clouds that he saw out the window. SO cool. I have such a smart, creative, class that loves to write!
