December 4th-8th, 2017

I think we packed everything we could into this week!

In language arts, we compared and contrasted three gingerbread texts- Gingerbread Boy, Gingerbread Man, and Gingerbread Girl. Ask your child what was different or the same in all three stories. We culminated the week by completing Gingerbread literacy art projects which are now hanging from our ceiling. Adorable!

We loved completing our writing this week listening to classical music by the 'crackling fire'. So cozy!

In Math we are beginning to learn about 10 and some more. We are grasping the concept that a ten is made of ten individual ones. We also tied in our Gingerbreads with math to create a graph!

In Science, we used our 5 senses to investigate a Gingerbread cookie. They are spicy!

We went to the Garden this week and had a great time using our 5 senses to learn about Maize. Ms. Klein even popped us some fresh popcorn to enjoy. How fun!

We continued out Junior Achievement lessons with Madison's Mom as we learned about needs versus wants.

Madison's Dad came to read us a fun book for Mystery Reader on Friday!

We also celebrated two birthdays- Alec and Braelyn!

Our Gingerbread kids have been busy causing mischief in the classroom, but we still love them so!

Songs this week- We loved learning Bingo, Bango, Bongo and Letter Pop by Sherri Sloane. You can find the songs on YouTube for free.
